Help someone feel seen, supported, and capable.

Volunteers, partners, and sponsors make Hope Missions possible. There's a way for everyone to help.

Ways to help

Volunteer tutors

Help learners of any age with coding, reading, math, science, or homework. You don't need to be a teacher, just patient and kind.

You'll

  • Tutor a small group or one learner, always in a supervised setting when minors are involved
  • Follow simple lesson plans, or bring your own ideas
  • Celebrate progress and keep things encouraging

What it takes

  • Age 18 or older
  • Background check and safeguarding training (we provide both)
  • [TIME COMMITMENT, e.g. 1 to 2 hours a week for one semester]

Mentors

Be a steady, caring presence in someone's life. Mentors listen, encourage, and help people set and reach goals, at any age.

You'll

  • Meet regularly with a mentee in group or supervised settings
  • Help build confidence and life skills
  • Join group activities and celebrations

What it takes

  • Age 21 or older [CONFIRM]
  • Background check, references, and safeguarding training
  • [TIME COMMITMENT, e.g. 2 hours a month for one year]

Partners

Schools, churches, libraries, and community groups can help us reach more people.

You'll

  • Refer people and families who could use our help
  • Share space for tutoring sessions
  • Team up on events and programs

What it takes

  • A shared heart for people and families
  • A point of contact on your team

Sponsors

Businesses and individuals can fund a program, a learner, or supplies like laptops.

You'll

  • Sponsor a learner, a program, or an event
  • Donate laptops, tablets, or school supplies
  • Match your employees' gifts or volunteer hours

What it takes

  • Any amount helps
  • We'll share updates on the impact of your gift

Our promise to every learner

Every volunteer is screened, background checked, and trained before they start. When anyone under 18 is involved, no adult is ever alone with them out of sight of others.
